You need the original to play Burning Crusade. (but you do not need Burning Crusade to play WoW, just to get the additional content and level cap increase)
My advice to you is, DON'T DO IT!! WoW isn't really "fun" long term. What it is is highly addictive. The formula of it's design is entirely based on psychological elements that keep people coming back for more, irregardless of how much fun they are having. It's pretty evil when you think about it.
That being said, it IS fun at first until you've seen and done most things at least once, but so are some drugs that ultimately will ruin your life if you get involved with them. ;)
so your saying that when i go into wow with the original i will be on the same servers as the people who have burning crusade?
or will it be like diablo2 n its expansion?

Yes, you will be on the same servers as the people who have Burning Crusade. The people with BC will have access to zones and instances that you do not, however, but you can still interact with them everywhere else.

That's just some people who have more addictive personalities or are just plain stupid to get that addicted to a game.

You're over reacting.

Ahh, so an addict in the denial phase then. I get it.
Nice assumption. Completely wrong though, I think I should just take your sig's advice. In my opinion, to be addicted to a game, that has no physical dependancy over you, is plain stupid. To assume i'm a wow addict just because I enjoy playing it from time to time is equaly as stupid. It's like saying because I have a drink once in a while i'm an alcoholic. Grow up.
I hate you people. As I said above, only idiots or people with an addictive personality would let it destroy their lives. Sure you get the occasional crazy person who commits suicide since their raid got ninja'd or they were to stupid to feed themselves because they played WoW instead, but overall, a lot of people are just, get this, casual players who play no more then 7-10 hours a week. It all really depends how seriously you want to take the game. If you want to be the best, then you're gonna have to invest a lot of time in it. But really only gamers do that. The casual player is happy finsihing a couple quests a week and occasinally doing an instance/raid.razorburn0
One person commited suiced?

Same can be said about any MMO, drop it.

I play several different MMO's. I was just kidding in my original post but I couldn't help but have a little fun with Kieran after he was so sensitive about it. The people who get their panties in a bundle like that really do likely have a bit too much going on in terms of their dependence on the game. Normal players would just have ignored my comments and moved on.
