I suppose it can damage the harddrive, but I haven't had any problems. I have one sub on the side of my computer and one in front of it...-GeordiLaForge-how many watts are your sub? mines only like 50w but its got deep bass tho i no its not that powerfull im just curious,
how many watts are your sub? mines only like 50w but its got deep bass tho i no its not that powerfull im just curious,I'm not sure really. The one under my desk, and next to my desktop, is the more powerful one. It's a modified (solidified) Durabrand. The one hidden next to my chair, and in front of my tower, is a labtec. But I used to have two 12" subs on either side of my desk, and they didn't cause any problems. I'm sure that they use more than 50 watts...[QUOTE="-GeordiLaForge-"]I suppose it can damage the harddrive, but I haven't had any problems. i have 3 different HDDs near my subwoofer (which is a 300-600W Z-5500, and makes everything vibrate) and i havnt had a problem yet.
ive been meaning to try and break a glass with my speakers, and now i might try a HDD too.
Most subt arn't magnetically shielded. You should keep at good distance between them and deviced that can be damaged by magnetic fields. Also, the Z-5500 is a Z-5500 is a 180W sub Gigagamer2.Marka1700yeah sorry got the figures mixed up with something else, its up to 376 when on boost mode, 188 normally. and about the magnetic shielding, mine came with a warning on A4 paper, but as long as your arn't silly with the placement of the speakers and pc tower, you should be ok.
