Sleeping Dogs definitely has its faults, but I still really enjoyed it due to the fun combat and the interesting story.
Far Cry 3 is what I am playing now. Â Pretty darn good game, though has some flaws. Â I highly suggest playing FC3 on the hardest mode (unless you are not very good at FPS games :P). Â I am on the hardest mode and I turn the reticle off when firing from the hip. Â Makes it more fun and realistic. Â

Red Faction: Guerrilla is pretty nifty with the destructible environments.
If you are ok with RPGs then every Bethesday game since Oblivion has been great. Â Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Skyrim.
Just Cause 2 is also a ton of fon, the story is horrendous, but the game itself is very fun to play.

Ever play Mafia II?

I wouldn't really count that as "open world"... The world in that game is entirely empty and is there for no other reason than to drive through. Â Still a good game/story though.
You can go around and rob stores and steal cars to bring to the crushing yard. It's actually pretty fun to wreak havoc inside that game. The gunplay is far better than GTAIV, Sleeping Dogs, and all the others, too.How about Flight Simulator 2004 or Flight Simulator X? How much more open world can you get than the whole Earth?

I know Google Earth has a flight simulator built in that allows you to fly around the planet. I also know it includes mapping of the moon and Mars so I guess you could fly around both of them if you really wanted. You would have to suspend a bit of realism though. :lol:Â
