Ok, my opinion here is this; I pretty much hate the Official Map editor, the elevation tool often bugs out and rips huge chunks out of my map, whatever its set to. And it isnt the easiest thing in the world to use.

But my question is; HazX's unofficial editor is simple enough and suits its purpose, but does anyone know how to squeeze performance out of it, cos most of the time I get like 6FPS out of it? Cos Id really like to carry on making these maps.

Mate, you should have read the EULA. The official map tool is very technical-oriented - even GPG said it themselves. There are some stuff and guides you can get to go around these things, so I suggest you have a look around at these forums: http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewforum.php?f=20http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewforum.php?f=27 As for HazardX's editor, please bear in mind that even the latest version 0.471 is still a Beta, and HazardX has acknowledged that the performance is bad, but that's because he hasn't got around to doing ANY optimization work yet. So yeah, unfortunately, these are the two that we got at the moment. The only suggestion I can give you is: take long, deep breaths, keep your cool, and be patient.
