To SupCom2 owners what is the single player campaign like ignoring the voicework and storyline which I read isn't great? Is Supreme Commander 2 worth £10/$15? I'm in this unsure place where I'm feeling this purchase could be one of those buyers remorse(I have had few of those) because I really liked the first one and from playing the demo on this one I actually found it was quite fun BUT there have been so many cutbacks it didn't feel right.

Is it true that you can't save game in skirmish? If so I find that baffling and illogical as to why not even have an option to do so. Dawn of War II did this too but I could understand because it wasn't a typical rts whereas here it might be smaller scale and more fast paced than the first one but I was still expecting it to take a fair bit of time.

Being a die hard SC fan myself, I did not the game at all. I felt it was a few steps backwards of how the original one was. They simplified it a LOT.

It's dull and uninspiring. I gave up on the game after the 3rd mission - I'm not touching that abomination again.

A shame, SupCom was a great game. Check out the player reviews here on GS - some people like it, but many just don't.

Those are my feelings too as in it felt no longer unique and like a step backwards indeed but there was still this fun element which is why I'm mulling over this.

wow that is a shame. Yeah I'm checking reviews and video reviews all over trying to make the best informed decision - so far very mixed opinions.

the SP of SupCom 2 is sure better with regards to its pacing than SC1 at least and with much help from more responsive units in SC2... but that isnt saying much. Since SupComs SP campaigns are nothing more than an extended tutorial. If anything SupCom2 is a more inspired game than the original, however it loses the excellent macro the original had.

Its not as good as the first and the missions are much shorter. However the missions from about half way are decent and even some of the later missions are enjoyable because they do let you set your own pace. If you like the first one then there are some missions you will definitely like. The first 3 or so are very poor.. Just a pity it isn't as good as the first. You can check out my review in my sig if you like.

Having played the game and judging it would you have purchased it again or in the first place?

Thanks for the feedback. Purely for single player I would probably recommend waiting until the price drops, maybe 50% or less. There is enjoyment to be had with the game even in single player.
