Yeah Surface Pro really makes sense of Windows 8, like the first time I liked using it as that is the device 8 was made for really.

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"] Very weird. I'm using Windows 8 at the moment on my desktop with ZERO problems actually. Everything works, and fast. I have Start8 which basically makes me not even need to go to Metro (I don't even see it at Boot). I can go into Metro though if I need to or have an app on there. For tablets, the way to go is the Metro Interface and Apps. For Hybrids, you have a Keyboard and Mousepad anyway so it's basically the same as a desktop/laptop.

Yeah it was weird, not a great experience. That's cool though you're finding it fine, can't say the same for me - and truth be told I ended up shelving the thing and buying a small macbook (discounts hurrah), now running dual boot + parallels and it's surprisingly one of the best computers I've owned in a while; which is a weird thing for me. Depends on the model though for Hybrids (full Win 8), Surface does (though those keyboards are so damn expensive, wow), and so does the samsung variety - however then you're looking at paying about a grand in AUD or more for one (not including the keyboard); which is getting well into laptop territory. The best thing about the Vivo Tab was it's pricetag, $530-600 AUD odd isn't that shabby. Problem is compared to tablets in similar price rage, or laptops compared to the other hybrid tablets.... Either way I can see it being groovy for some people, me, not so much.

Because price isn't an option for me, I prefer the razer edge pro over these devices....reasons for is because I can use it for gaming or for work. Since it has an Nvidia 2gb chip in it as well as the built in intel 4000 I don't have to split processor memory when playing games which means less lag, higher resolution, fps, and higher graphic settings. I hate the fact that on my Surface pro it lags anytime I play real games like tomb raider, crisis, mirrors edge.... if you like your fps dropping to I don't know lets say 32 to 15 to 10 then bounce to 24 then the surface pro is your guy. Honestly it makes me laugh when people try and say its comparable to the razer edge pro for gaming. Lets also not forget that the surface pro is limited with its 4gbs of ram, 128 gb hdd, i5 processor, and onboard intel 4000 graphics. Razer Edge pro you can go up to 256 GB hdd, 8gbs of ram, i7 processor, and you have the ability to specify if you want to use the on board intel 4000 graphics or the NVidia 640m with 2gbs dedicated. Short battery life when gaming....yes I get roughly about 2 - 2..50 hours of game play but at the same time gaming laptops have short battery life as well. If you are a gamer your would know this. I also, like the fact that its a full windows 8 os as I have the tools I need for work whenever I need to do something IT related at a client site such as power shell or remote desktop and so on. When I am not gaming on the razer edge pro I get battery life around 5-6 hours without a docking station. The other reason for getting the razer edge pro was because I can dock it and replace my desktop, put it in the keyboard dock which has an extended battery to double the life of it to use as a laptop, and I can take it and sit on the couch to use it as a tablet. This makes my gaming/work machine portable and with me whenever I need it Unlike the surface where it is great for work and that's about it. For those complaining about the price you are obviously not the market for most tech devices as when new technology or new ideas come out you are going to be paying top dollar. The razer edge pro is not marketed for people who wait for the prices to drop, its for the gamers who purchase the brand new graphic cards that typically cost 500 to 600 $ well actually the terra costs 100$ (US) now. I like the fact that I can use the razer edge pro to replace my laptop, desktop, and use it as a tablet. If you say you are a gamer and the games you play are fruit ninja and angry birds than its not for you. But if you are looking for a portable device that is as powerful as a desktop, portable as a laptop, and is a fully loaded windows 8 tablet I recommend the Razer edge pro.
