My computer would do that, but because its specs were absoluetly horrible. I had pt 4 2.2 and a RADEON 9600. If you could list your specs, that would be nice.

To do that go to "run" at the start up menu. Then put in "dxdiag" minus the quotations and list off the hardware specs on the first page.

It might help to run the game on a clean boot. I've got a P4 and a fairly low end graphics card, and it makes a huge difference with some games.

A clean boot turns off all the background apps that are often running while your playing a game.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353. The link I listed will walk you through setting it up-just takes a few minutes. There were several games (like Oblivion) that barely played until I loaded clean boot.Good luck

SWAT 4 is a classic when it comes to long loading times. It does that on every computer, more or less. Of course, the better the configuration of your rig, the faster it will load, but that still can mean a few good minutes. It's the way it was build and I remember perfectly the frustrations related to the sluggish gameplay and load times, even on my fairly good machine (I met the Recommended Requirements for the game). The game is full of stutters and I've heard you can't do much to improve the game experience. I tweaked the configs (can't remember what exactly) and I managed to make it a little smoother, but I never got rid completely of the bad parts.

You might want to read the SWAT 4 forums on GameSpot, maybe there you'll find more help. Good luck!

I used to play Swat 4 religously and still do sometimes, I have an 8800GTS and it still takes forever to load. I think it's just one of those games that built like that. Nothing really you can do about it.

Oh, yes, I've downloaded SWAT 4 and it does take a lot of time to load depending on your PC specs...

I guess you need patience... unless you want to upgrade your pc.

If you wanna play sometime, add me on xfire: lukeirado :D

It only stutters like mad when play online in coop and what not. If I play in SP it's running perfectly smooth. I bet it's a driver thing because it only started to happen after I got my G80.
