I wanna use the controller, I worked it out so it all worked to want I want each button to be except the freaking right stick to aim... it won't do it. The mouse is still aiming... how do I do this?
using a controller in a PC MULTIPLAYER game is SUICIDE. Your character will die, repeatedly, while you can't nab a single kill. Take everyone's advice, and just use the mouse and keyboard. If you really have to, just turn the DPI on your mouse down and it should work at relative to the same speeds that a stick rotates the player at. Really, there ISN'T another way to play online PC games.
A good mouse+mouse pad and keyboard are better than any controller in terms of speed and accuracy. It may take a while to become proficient with Keyboard and mouse controls, but once you get used to it you'll be a much better player.
You CAN play controllers on PC games first off. I set it up for L4D and the controllers work fine.
And I don't claim I will kick butt but I'll be ok online with a controller especially on TeaM Frotress where I usually am a medic. But I KNEW I would get this kind of a response from PC people lol
Sorry I don't like the M/KB simply put, it's annoying to me and I personally am slower at that then on Controller. But I'm sure my opinion and preference will be wrong to a PC gamer which is one reason I don't love PC gaming.
I am loving TF2 PC myself mostly cause the more people playing where no the 360 it's almost empty and the more amount of players in a game. But the KB/M is frustrating for me personally
Not everybody wants to play with a mouse. I use my controller when I play as Engineer. I don't have to aim and just chill on the sofa with music on. It always feel great playing engineer.
