So I see a lot of tearing in some videos. I checked "force vertical sync on" on the nvidia panel but it doesn't help.
This problem is usually caused by the video card driver it's using. But it may be something else, can you tell us what type of connection you are using on your monitor and your graphics card?
Doesn't low monitor response times lead to image ghosting? Not tearing...It could be the monitor's response time.

It's high that's bad, lower is better an I'm not sure I just know that it damages the image.
DVI. I have an 8800GT, and a LCM-22w2 Westinghouse 22" monitor. No idea what refresh rate it is, and I don't know how to find out.This problem is usually caused by the video card driver it's using.
