for the money you are spending an hd 3850 will do the trick

i know now it would be but if it had to be narrowed down to those to cards. i already have an 8600gts which i got right when it came out but i am wondering if it was stupid to get that card instead of a 7950gt

sli is only 40 percet of increasement, i suggest to look for reviews or to try to find a better deal if not why wasting your moneyXD

One on one the 7950 will be better than the 8600 by about 25%.

to above poster, 8600gts has higher clocks than a 7950gt, ram wont matter untill you get into the really high resolutions.

hmm, ive heard alot of bad things about ATI cards, some people were telling me that they have driver issues, other than that they look awesome. perfect budget cards.
