Looks like they are prepping for the R600, Barcelona and AM2+ release.
Man, they are busy on all fronts; GPGPU, GPU, chipset, Desktop, Server, motherboards, drivers, bios. Then all the R&D for future products, R650, R700, 45/32nm tech for both GPU and CPU, DDR3/AM3, Physics solution, Fusion, etc.

Just wow! 

I think it's sad, x2900xt can't even keep up with the 8800GTX and Barcelona will probably get owned by Penryn.X360PS3AMD05

A slightly overclocked XT at 850mhz core will score close to a stock GTX in 3dMark06.

As for Barcelona, Barcelona will cleanup in the server market and should be very competitive with Penryn.

That sounds like the plan, if they can get you to buy all three of their products, they should be able to give you a decent discount.

I do go to church, I do know the story it just wasn't the first thing that came to my mind. I thought you were stating someone's name in this thread of the beyond3d thread.

It definitely was never a commonly used phrase were I live and I have gone to church every Sunday for the past 20 years.
I don't really expect religious references here in a gaming forum...
