The Best FPS Game Ever?

I think the best FPS games are the ones that go outside the box and succeed. They're not just corridor shooters which have nothing new to offer but are unique experiences. Good examples of these are System Shock 2, Deus Ex, and STALKER, and to lesser extents both The Chronicles of Riddick and Tron 2.0.TargetDog

Those are more hybrids then straight FPS.

As a shooter you'd regard Deus Ex as one of the best?

Actually, no. Its shooting kind of sucked. But the RPG elements were so awesome, I decided they compensate. ;)

The most fun ive ever had with a FPS was when DUKE NUKEM 3D came out.

However, if you want to be technical, the best FPS out in todays market is CRYSIS.
