The End of Gaming!

As most of you know already recently Activision letJason West and Vince Zampella go, the later being IW's CEO. Partially I think that all is coming to a time where what happened with IW back then when they did Medal of Honor - Allied Assault and EA asking them to do more, but IW just simply went away from EA's grip and started doing Call of Duty. Thing is that for long time IW wanted and still wants to make a new IP but something evil like Koteck isn't letting his grip from Warfares, simply cause there's a market to milk which we come to fill.

My point is why are we feeding monsters like this which are destroying the creativity developers have not letting them make new awesome IP's, but sticking to the SAME OLD BORING STUFF again and again. Seriously IW just wanted to stop with MW1, Koteck didn't, MW2 is just a MW1 extension cause on every other aspect is the same, and I dare anyone of u tell me wrong without including the crappy multiplayer disbalance THEY BOTH HAVE!

Fact is people like Koteck are just making money of this, and ofc its his right, but why are we still whining about wanting new games and IP when WE are the ones filling up his pockets with 1 billion + $!? are we so desperate for the same thing we are afraid for new stuff!? There are a ton of other games out there that deserve much more attention than the OVERRATED MW2 which they don't get, and cause of that most of them fail and fall to the grip of companies like Activision and EA, and the more of them Activision gathers the more monopolized the gaming industry gets, thus NOT making games we'd like to play cause no competition would be in existance once a monopol bringing us to a doomsday of gaming were all we play with is the same old **** coming from Kotick mind! We are the customer, WE provide the paycheck for their services, why are we letting them treat us gamers in this way, can't we do something!? OFC we can, Speak with OUR WALLETS not with our a $5es!

You cant rant about the decisions of a company when they make a great game and they have a reason (insubordination) to fire both of the employees they choose to fire.

listen people, the game is out(MW2) and sold like crazy(20million units or something) and now activision merely wants all that money for itself. why honor retirement, pay raises , stock options etc etc etc when u can just fire the old people and replace them with new cheaper labor? this is the sad state of the United States of Selling Out!!!

boycott activision like me, i havent bought an activision product since COD1 for the PC, long time ago it seems.

Listen, i dont care what the site rates the game ok. i just cant put a number on a game, i either like it or i dont, if some block from the site tests it and decides to give it 9 i just dont care, cause if the game doesnt give me the same amount of entertainment i dont like it and there is not one website that can change that.

The fact that u rely so much on a website to make a decision shows how much u use ur mind to make one! which brings me to not believe how you came out with that Kotick comment which i agree with!

Take it easy with that hate on the developers/publishers too. EA is not teh evil, they are teh good, sure it would be best if they stopped making their own games (for PC at least because they're all bad, sports games and hopefully they'll let the NFS series to the new studio, but from what I know the next one is yet again made by Black box) and they should just buy every great little developer or with lots of potential, give them money and let them make games and if you're worried about prices, well EA has regular prices, only Activision (that really don't have many studios under their company - what because they had IW and a very famous FPS now they rule the world?-) uses high prices from time to time and Ubisoft that are just...Ubisoft and another developer or two that they got one of them being Nadeo which brought us the phenomenal Trackmania United Forever.

It's already two late if you don't want the gaming world to be monopolized, there are way to huge developers/publishers like EA, there are huge developers/publishers like Activision|Blizzard, big developers/publishers like THQ, Atari, Sega, Ubisoft and even 1C, it's starting to get bigger and bigger and the rest. The rest have 2 options if they make a superb game, 1)they sell lots of copies, they make another 2 or 3 great games and they get bought by one of the gaming world giants 2) They have a pretty or very successful game, it's known in the whole world, they make a sequel or another game, still they get enough money, they make another, suddenly they don't really get as much as they should and after that they slowly dissolve the company because they just couldn't sustain it. Small developers can't make it on their own nowadays.

Or having EA telling developers to rush everything, cause they need to release before 6 months deadlin, to the point the game comes out and is SHORT, buggy and no fun! Why cant they take a page from Blizzards book which say the game is gonna come out when its done, or painfully be like valve that freaking updates my TF2 almost every month.

U mentioned 1C, which together with GSC Game World brough us some of the best games made by RUSSIAN developers. I'd never had known about those games otherwise. Thats what i like, developers going to a publisher so they CAN publish them to an unknown public, not publishers pushing developers around to create the same thing so they can milk over and over the same public!

Another day, another brilliant thread... TC, why don't you go try and start an independent, professional game development company, and see how easy it is to be creative and innovative, and at the same time make truckloads of cash.kdawg88

The game company's are just greedy. But if you think of it, potential game sales have probably dropped in the past fewyears what with people just downloading games from torrents and such.

I mean sure it's expensive to develop and design a game, but it's even more expensive to develop a game where you will only sell x amount of copies and then y amount will be pirated because somebody didn't want to pay 60-70 bucks for a game.

Gaming isn't ended.. just taking a bad turn. Hopefully this whole 'casual' thing will die out in a few years and we can get back to the good old days of challenging games that made us wanna punch a wall.

pirating a game is aweful when it comes to developers, but how can you blame someone who expects a **** load of fun and gaming from a company that previously didnt disappoint (IW and MW2 in this case) to be pissed when he is asked 70 bucks for a game that is EXACTLY THE SAME with what he got 2 years ago, as in story, graphics and gameplay; a SHORTER game, the same multiplayer as fanboys say (which i dont agree with cause MW2 multiplayer had some serious problems and still has them), and guess what PC gamers NO MOD SUPPORT!

How can u not expect ppl to pirate it? How can u expect to get ur xbox controller and get onilne when it is SO MUCH unbalanced ur gonna die the 1st second u spawn. Yeah u might say its for hardcore gamers who stay 25 hour a day online but isnt all the business model to sell the game to everyone!? I play TF2 everynow and then and im still able to keep track of someone who's been playing everyday hardcore, cause of how much balanced the online gameplay is!!!

You cannot go and ask more money to someone for delivering the SAME GAME or worse cause u wanna make a quick buck! Its like saying here buy this xbox arcade for 300$ cause it came out now in 2010 and its new tech and crap when there is the same crap inside it was the first day it came out! That just making everyone stupid.

No, and i'll never buy something buggy, short and unbalanced offered for 70$ !! For christ sake why didnt valve put a 70$ price tag to L4D2, its the same crap activision did, one CoD per year, one L4D per year. Why did i buy it = 34 $ just that!

seriously dude, stop assuming you know what i did, im not a hypocrite ok!i played the campaign 2ice single and co-op and both times sucked and it was shorter, and those 6 hours i was online were so buggy u have no idea, not to come to the point the cherry on the cream was added with that immense hack bug!!!

If you say it isnt about money, you havent been around long enough see the de-evolution of PC gaming, and must be completely disillusioned.
