All these great features...man if it just had OW PvP to go with them, it be the best game ever! Imagine dynamic events happening in the midst of a guild vs guild PvP over control of a boss or a village...awsomesauce.
Main question on every MMO gamer's mind right now, this or Terra?
The only thing that sounded "bad" was regarding the crafting. I am sure that they can change a few things about it, depending on player feedback once the beta starts.
Guild Wars 2, Tera or any other MMO?
Definitely this!
I've sort of been on and off the MMO scene quite a bit, GW2 is looking very good in terms of art direction and animations, but the combat system doesn't seem as great as it could have been, but I'm definitely looking forward to this as well as Tera(a game setting the gold standard for MMO combat).Zubinen

The World vs. World We just learned the details last week, and this weekend we got to play it. Words can't describe the feeling you'll get wandering the Eternal Battlegrounds with your closest guild mates or even complete strangers. You're fighting for your entire server, and it instills within you a sense of true pride to go out there and make a stand. Siege weapons, dynamic events, underwater attacks, trebuchets, ballistae, explosives… these fortnight-long wars will be the talk of the town once everyone's had a taste. Sure a lot of ideas are borrowed from the past, but that's okay, because it's been far too long since we had three-faction PVP this good.
Dark Age Of Camelot PvP Style. The best idea to bring back in any mmo since. I have no idea why no one else has done this. Ive been waiting for almost a decade for this to make a comeback and I'm happy it's with GW2.

I endorse this message.I've sort of been on and off the MMO scene quite a bit, GW2 is looking very good in terms of art direction and animations, but the combat system doesn't seem as great as it could have been, but I'm definitely looking forward to this as well as Tera(a game setting the gold standard for MMO combat).ZubinenI think it can be argued that Guild Wars 2 is trying to set gold standard too, and without online fees to boot, that is saying ALOT!
Im excited for gw2 (gw1 fan), but that was one of the worst reads ive seen.
All the Bads were cop outs (except crafting): He could have easily said lag, buggy ai, too many particles, etc but instead did stuff like "its over"
The goods: professions. Thats so boring and vague. He coulda said something better like profession balance and not just restate what anet advertises
Sounds good, cant wait for this, i highly doubt the crafting could be worse the SWTOR or WOW and even so bad crafting dosent matter, like Im going to spend all my time crafting. I will max the skill get what i need and hardly ever use it again just like the other games.

What do you mean the final nail? The game will have a very steady sub base for the forseeable future. A lot of people really love the game. I don't really think you can compare GW2 to SWTOR. They are both really different.
Also a game dying is not a good thing for anyone involved. People lose jobs.
10 years ago, DAoC was the best MMO I had ever played. Since then, it has ascended to the best game I have ever played. Back then, I had time to play it.
I won't have time to play GW2. Someone please play a violin for me.
Thanks for the link to the review... I'll try to force some time to play.
The game has cut a lot of the really harsh grinding factors of hardcore mmos like DaoC. You won't have to play nearly as much to be viable in GW2 PvE or PvP. The leveling curve is almost non existant in GW2 it's more of a straight line.10 years ago, DAoC was the best MMO I had ever played. Since then, it has ascended to the best game I have ever played. The PvE loot system doesn't make people fight for loot like most mmo's. Anyone who rolls high enough I.E. over 75 will get the gear that dropped.
The PvP system has it's own sort of preset gear for you to chose from. You do not bring in your PvE gear. Everyone will basically be on even standing grounds in PvP if you've maxed your level and have everything unlocked.

You must not play then, I am on 2 different servers, both my guilds and fleet numbers continue to drop.Thats good to hear, when I used to play Aion, after my Guild Wars days, I hated trying to get good gear, it was such a grind. And of course I would have jerks roll on gear they didn't need or could use, and then try to play stupid, when you confronted them. I hated players like that.[QUOTE="Erebus"]

My friend at work was saying the same thing about not having time to play. She, yes she, was like let me check it out. The next day she was like that game looks awesome. I think I might have to really find some time. At least with no online fees, it makes it easier to play when you can, and not have to worry about your money being wasted.10 years ago, DAoC was the best MMO I had ever played. In Guild Wars, I remember getting my fissure armor for my warrior monk and once we finally got through the dungeon, I was missing a couple of materials. A couple of players in my group generously gave me the pricey mats so that I didn't have to run through the place again, free of charge. I totally miscounted the mats I needed. It was a big fail on my part but they came through for me (it was a random pug too).[QUOTE="Erebus"]

Don't get me wrong, there are good and bad players, you can't really blame the game, at least that is how I see it. Played with some great people in Guild Wars and Aion, and a few Jerks.[QUOTE="jer_1"][QUOTE="Prexxus"] Thats good to hear, when I used to play Aion, after my Guild Wars days, I hated trying to get good gear, it was such a grind. And of course I would have jerks roll on gear they didn't need or could use, and then try to play stupid, when you confronted them.
