I think the Aliens look sorta silly, remember as a kid thinking they were awesome, but now... it's just funny looking, especially with the knee like it is, I think it should have a more animal like knee/foot design.
Im looking forward to this. I hope its not going to be as dissapointing as avp3 was.

I personally thought AvP3 wasn't as good as AvP2, but still a pretty good game... I thought the predator campaign was better. Apart from that, marine was average. The alien campaign was pretty bad though.
Can't wait to hear the heightening-pitched beeps of my motion tracker again. It was the single most memorable and most terrifying sound in the original AvP.

Beat the marine campaign and halfway through the predator. It may not be as good as AvP 2, but still pretty cool. Haven't messed with the MP yet though.
Is this a continuation of that game? Cruz is showing up, but I can't remember the main character's name.

No. I believe you'll be playing only as the Marines and you'll definitely only be fighting aliens.

No, I think it happens between the movies ALIENS and ALIEN3. Marines go back to see what happened??? I could be wrong. As for AvP MP, don't bother...it's pretty dead and buggy. SP was great fun as you say though.
I wonder, are they still using the terrible pulse rifle sound? It was defiantly one of the worst sound effects in any movie or game that I've ever heard.

Even though it doesn't sound remotely realistic, I still think the sound of the pulse rifle is iconic to the Alien series. To take that away would be a big step away from the originality of the games/movies.

Honestly I've been playing a bit of AVP(3) survival mode - haven't touched singleplayer, and I'm not minding it at all. The Aliens are fantastically animated, aggressive, mobile, and their A.i. is good enough to make interesting foes. It's pretty good, even if the multiplayer demo was so-so. So I'm looking forward to Colonial Marines, I just hope its plot is a bit better than the predictable 'oh the corporations are baaaaad, setting us up again it's all so baaaad they're the real villains woe woe'. That and all that jazz about good combat feedback, tactical options and some HR Giger enviroments showcased.
