There are post-2000 games that have both good graphics and good gameplay. I would take it as a given that someone would not recomment a sh_t game.

BioShock and Half-Life 2 Episode 2 have the best grapihcs so far I think, and Crysis of course.

a few games that still has a few graphically neat things up thier leave despite age.

Far Cry, might not be the prettyist game anymore, but still looks decent, and plays like a dream.

Doom 3, best light/shadow things Ive ever seen, rivaled only be Stalker, also has neat sound, gameplay is so so, pure corridor shooter.

The Witcher, may not be the most tecnically impressive game, but the artistic and atmospheric graphics in that game is mind boggeling at times.

Oh, and Vampire the masquerade: Bloodlines + anything that runs of source They are often not very impressive at first glance, but hwen you begin to notice the details you get all giddy ;)

If you're the least bit interested in WW2 planes, look into Wings of Prey...I highly recommend it.LTZH
