Well recently my mouse has been having issues and I am going to buy a new one. My question is, is there any mouse that will improve gaming performance? Or are all of them basically the same?

It makes a huge difference. If you're able to afford a really nice one, look at the Logitech G series and the Razer gaming mice.

If you're looking for something a little more reasonably priced Logitech MX series mice are also excellent for gaming.

Depends on what kind of games you play and how you want to play them. They usually are very more sensitive and use a laser which is much more acurate, in addition they also have more buttons most of the time which can help.

Most of the importance is in comfort, not fancy settings, Make sure you use a mouse that is comfortable for you, then worry about high DPI settings, refresh rates, acceleration, and all the rest of that.

Well I was sort of looking for a mouse around $20, I found a cheap Microsoft one powered by Razer for $15 at a local factory direct. Can any of you recommend a good gaming mouse for around $20 if there is one? Also I live in Canada, so is their a certain store or online website I should look at to find the mouse?

I use a razer Deathadder and I can easily say its the best mouse I've ever used. I'm pretty much only buying mice from only Razer now in the future.

Well the MX518 was a little bit expensive for me, since my budget is under $25. I found a Microsoft Habu (powered by Razer) for about $16 at a local store. Would that still be a good gaming mouse?

I had the Razer/Microsoft Habu for about a year and a half. The mouse tracks very well and is rather comfortable, but my left button gave out after a year of (admittedly heavy) use, and the lauch drivers and firmware were crap and refused to work at all. The driver/firmware issue is fixed now, and you might not have the same issue with the button I did. For $20 it's an excellent choice, but I wouldnt' recommend anyone pay its MSRP.

K Thanks, but is there a better mouse I could get for $20? Or should i just stick with the Habu?

Unless you start looking at used mice, that one is already around a third of the price it's supposed to be, and quite a bit better than most mice around that price range.

I currently have a Death Adder and a MX518 Death Adder blows away the MX518 I have tried the Lachesis but I didn't like the shape IMO, the Death Adder is the easy choice. Once you have it you will not know how you lived without it.
