[QUOTE="Elann2008"][QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"]Yeah, unfortunately, the Nvidia Panel doesn't help with this one. :( Which one do you leave on? The default ones. I would rather deal with blur than noticeable low res textures and jagies. Do you have some suggestions on what looks better than the default setting? Not really mate. Every time I tweak it, it doesn't necessarily make it look better, per se. It just makes it look different. Just a matter of preference. Like the FOV.Yeah, i know you can tweak it, but i didn't want to say anything too nice :P
Thanks. And i leave it on, I don't know, it's too jaggied without it and for some reason enabling AA from my Nvidia panel doesn't work.

The cutscenes look nice.ampivaThe silly narrative videos are so stupid that I can't help but /facepalm every time they come up.
Okay, so Crysis 2 is a major let down for those of us who played Crysis.
Its Buggy (my melee stops working whenver I die and my shotgun can only carry 10 slugs), its lost the classic Crytek sandbox approach to levels, and its yet to make me shout 'come get some mother*******!' at the screen in the same way the final 10 minutes of warhead did.
But there has to be something good to be said about the single player...right?
I really want to like this game but things keep getting in my way. so those of you who've actually played it (on PC) help me out here...

its not so terrible, thats the best i can say
I finished it 2 days ago, PC version. Game was ok. Some sceneries are amazing to watch ( dont want to spoil it ) but are just a few. Action is nice but then AI is so bad that you wont feel threat at normal difficulty at all so ruins a bit the "Agony" . Stages are ok ,decent shadows , low destructability ( im in a "tank" , bombing cars in the environement and cars wont even move ) , Frames are pretty stable , story is a bit cliche but in the end who cares . There isnt any "final" epic boss in game at all to make things more interesting . Imo it should had one to make "last battle" feel epic. Guns are repetitive. You wont care what gun will you choose as long as damage of it is near to max. Armor perks are a joke as of , you dont really need em. You can finish game easily ( normal mode) without any upgrade of nanosuit. There are some nice stages from time to time but then there are many "crappy" stages where youre in buildings or sewers most of the time. AI of game is so low , you dont even need to come up with a strategy. Stealth and ""stealth kill" all will do most of the times... Ridiculous! Well , reconsider to buy it imo . Its not bad game but felt nothing near to epic except a very few moments in game.Okay, so Crysis 2 is a major let down for those of us who played Crysis.

It looks gorgeous if you keep moving and don't pay too much attention to detail.
Can't coment on gameplay because the game needs a patch or two more before I'm willing to dig in. I don't think the SP can stand the 10 or so playthroughs I did with Crysis 1 to experience it's graphical peak. Not that I think there's the same kind of peak to be found. Crysis 2 seems to have forsaken the copy/pasting of objects by simply baking most of them into the enviroment.
Also, New Yorkian trashbags are durable :P
Seriosuy, it would've been sweet if you could tear fabrics in the enviroment, littering entire streets in debris and trash. That's sort of what I exected prerelease actually.

You've already failed your own thread.
*facepalm*
Having now played through the whole thing (with the latest patches which fixed most of the most annoying bugs) I can confirm that I now like this game. Not as much as Warhead, but I like it again. At some point in the game I even found myself shouting at the ceph to "bring it!" whilst I gave them a healthy dose of lead poisoning courtesey of the Heavy machine gun I'd torn from its emplacement... which is the kind of emotional experience I think most gamers want from their games.
One thing I did notice actually though was that the guns sound a lot meatier in Crysis2, there's a very satisfying chug as you fire you machine gun which is usually followed by the equally satisfying sound of the bullets hitting home on some poor unfortunate who got in the way.
Maybe I should've given it more of a chance before I decided to hate it

I like how you say "say something nice" and you start rumbling. Might if i do it too? Man the agme turns way too linear later on and you kill many aliens.
Time to say something nice: Shooting is better than the first, but admitedly too easy, armor mode is like a god mode and guns got no recoil Which bring me to say something nice, it has loads of guns and i really like how the human ai falls down when hit. NY, the rocket laucnher is better than the missile launcher in the first, but still it takes the same amount of hits to kill something big which is dissapoting. No other nanosuit guys with infinite health and juggernaut pro  but also a bad thing because feels like you are the only suit guy in the whole city. No annoying VTOL, but then again a nice helicopter sequence would have been fun. Runs very well, uses little resources. Wasdie made a program to fix tons of the things that should be there to begin with. Big thanks for better fov and mouse control.
Clearly, none of these games advance the first person shooter as a genre in any shape or form.Ricardo41
Well, yeah, if you think about it, after them, no other game tried to be like that or remotely "advance" even on graphics. Suprisingly has ended up taking a step backwards with crysis 2. So its clear they are not doing much for the fps genre. But then again who does? I hope rage will do, but i doubt it.
Also one last thing, the story is terrible even for my criteria. They rebooted the story or the scriptwriters of the 2 games were not in contact. I still try to figure out what was the point of the story and how the ending made....well whatever it did, you could say that the ending of the game brought down my experiance.

Uh not for me. It is better than Crysis and Warhead in everything except graphics. I'll take Crysis 2 over those two tech demos any day.[QUOTE="Pyromk1"]

I didn't know tech demo had 12+ hour campaigns with some of the best gameplay this gen. If Crysis was a tech demo love to see what crytek can do if they make an actual game out of it!!!
Yeah it's defiantly more suited for people looking for a more cod type of campaign with more scripted sp personaly I enjoy both.Crysis2 is better if you like COD games more than the first Crysis or if you want to play a game for the musical score, either than that I don't get why some say that Crysis2 is better...
