@FelipeInside stop feeding the troll. With his whole 664 posts it's not worth it.

But honestly, do you think the game looks HORRIBLE? Do you really think because some grass doesn't looks as good as he thinks it should it's worth a full refund? Does he get to play ANY game that way because if he's that picky then there isn't a game out there that he wouldn't ask for a refund?

This is not about what I think, it is about you attempting to control someone's opinion. If he thinks it looks horrible then that is his business.

I'm not trying to control his opinion, I just think it's ridiculous to return a game because some grass looks a bit weird to him (which it doesn't if you put the graphics on max).

If he's that picky, I really don't know if there's a game out there he WON'T return.

To each his own of course, his loss cause the game is great.

Lol, easy there Opinion Hitler, it looks way worse than the original renderer they first used before they changed it,it looks worse than Witcher 2, play Witcher 2 then come to this, it's an attack on the retina's, half the game world isn't tessellated even and actually I only ever returned 3 games out of 180 on Steam..not bad. Tiamat X was the last one because that was utter rubbish.

I did play TW2 (for the 3rd time) right before I started TW3. TW3 hands down looks better than TW2. I have no idea how you could say otherwise. Literally everything about the graphics looks better. The textures are better, the characters are better, the animations are better, the lighting in more realistic, and TW3 doesn't just use a ton of blur like TW2 does.

Loved the game. Story, characters and the mystery of the game world. Finished it at 99 hours and Lvl 35. Too bad there really isn't anything else to do anymore. Graphics wise I feel the game is bipolar. One time this game can look absolutely gorgeous, then 10 minutes later it can look pretty bad. Also had problems with game reusing same character models for multiple characters and pop-ins of graphics assets in conversations. Like facial and hair on head would be delayed half a second. Ruins the immersion. Some low res textures too depending on the area and character model

Combat wise, I felt it was a big too easy. Played at the 3rd difficulty. I barely used 5 percent of the potions available. Swallow like 6 times and Thunderbolt like 10 times. Forget about those 50+ decoctions. Never even touched the alchemy skill tree. The leveling up skill system was interesting but it would have been much better if the game was overall a bit harder. Only found myself switching axii and quen abilities.

would give it a 9 out of 10

If it's "worse than initially thought" then people were overhyping themselves. It's a GAME, made by mortal hands, to run within average consumer hardware limitations, and with project deadlines. People expect too much from these circumstances. Nothing wrong with dreaming big, but...

This game has exceeded my expectations in every way - I'm loving it. I'm impressed that going open world didn't complete destroy their story telling abilities (although it necessarily changes the approach somewhat). The graphics are certainly better than TW2, and more importantly, the combat is much improved. Uses the same skeleton, but is much more responsive and somewhat more refined (could still be better, but it's the best of the 3 definitely and far better than many other real-time RPGs on the market).

@vfibsux: It's just you. Witcher 3 is amazing, even over 100 hours in.

Should pick up the book's it really explains stuff for example The Last Wish explains how Yen and Geralt meet and get that magical bond between them that you can remove in the game.

...ended up getting a Steam refund for it because the graphics were just horrible, mostly the foliage and stuff looked like they copied and pasted from Oblivion's PS3 version. Once they changed renderer's, they really took a dive comparing the original pics....at least for the PC version. I'm sure it was all due to keep performance up for the consoles.

you have got a faulty GPU or display if you had this trouble with Witcher 3.

got a refund by just comparing year+ old early release shots to the final product and complaining they weren't the same? seems steam is a little too easy on their refunds.
