I am sorry, but its kinda funny what happened to Crytek. They deserved it. It was complete bull when they said this game will not be consolized. Whatev crytek, whatev... Game leaked, and the demo down right sucks. Press start to play? Really? Who the hell lets that through? Come on... thats just careless. Barely any graphical setting options... Even the consolers hate the demo lol. This whole thing blew up in Crytek's face and serves them well. They will not get nearly the amount of sales out of this game as they are expecting. Crytek use to be one of the big developers for the PC and they decided to jump ship on us and guess what? They fell flat on their face. Oh, well... maybe they will learnfrom this. I doubt it though... Thank god I did not pre order this game
More interested in the GTX 590 being released on the same day. Besides that I do have it preordered on Steam and i would like a refund. But that won't happen so Im stuck with this crap.

Very rarely, + I got it gifted to me so i doubt they'd do it.
ya, although im not as excited anymore. The mp was handled by a dev who has only done console games, so that would explain why it is the way it is. Now crytek handled the sp, it should atleast be good in an age where there are very few good sp shooters.
I'm ready to let it pass me by. I really have no interest in it. Disappointing since I really enjoyed crysis. I guess I will wait for reviews (not the over hyped herpa derpa reviews) until I make a final decision.
I have Crysis and Crysis: Warhead on Steam but haven't gotten around to playing them yet. Might pick this up in a Steam sale.
Not sure why folk really care....to each their own I suppose. I didn't really care for Crysis, it was rather boring.
Hope those that do get it have fun.
wasn't that excited at the start but once the leaked beta came out, i saw how awesome it look. Played the pc demo and now i'm not so excited anymoreblangenakkerthe mp sucks, developed by a has been console dev (free radical) who havent even made a game for pc ever. Single player looks to be good according to those who played the beta that leaked.

i liked it enough that i pre-ordered the game. i hate how they scrapped the original concept of the MP, but this COD-ripoff is actually more fun than CODs :)
and i haven't played CODs extensively since the first MW, so this is pretty cool. i still hate those killstreaks though...
[QUOTE="magnusm1"][QUOTE="C_Rule"]Excited? No. The multiplayer is pretty empty, not much to it.kieranb2000^This. I take it neither of you played the first Crysis then? Since the multiplayer in that was even worse.
I disagree. At least the mp in the first one had a responsive mouse control (not his horrible croshair acceleration with 1/3 sec lag), expansive maps with vehicles and support for a way bigger amount of players. The only good thing that C2 mp puts on the table is permanent stats with a ranking system.

Crysis mp was a disaster stability wise, it was full of glitches too, but Wars was the best, going small instead of big made it into a great mp experience, but it's dead now, 2 uses the better formula and all is good but I agree the console like mouse control kills it, it might work in Dead Space but not in an online FPS. Anyway, like multiplayer actually matters in Crysis, that's just a bonus, people talking strictly about multiplayer don't have anything worth saying.I've been into computer graphics since the PC was invented. I built my machine to play Crysis and Warhead, whose graphics start to approximate reality. The computing power it takes to render all that in real time is otherworldly. If you don't realize that Crytek's graphics have been head and shoulders above the rest, you need a better computer. Seriously. No offense intended. In the near future, I'm looking at GTX 580 SLIx2 and Win 7 64.
I was waiting for Crysis 2 the way a miniature pinscher waits for a Beggin' Strip. But over time, they have managed to take all the fun out of it. It's as if they engineered a campaign to discourage me. First came the screenshots that looked like comic book covers, but I told myself "concept art". Then the trailers---dark and narrow, with canned explosons and music that might have seemed eerie ten years ago but now sounds like what it is, a rip-off of Bioshock. I told myself, "Games are for kids. This is the marketing department." Then came themultiplayer trailer with the Bonk Stomp and the Paul Blart Slide with the Speed Racer Graphics, and I started to worry. I told myself, "Multiplayer. Xbox. Video game idiom. They won't let the PCers down." But now comes the "demo". If that demo is an actual demonstartion of what the game is going to be, I won't be buying Crysis 2. Thanks, Crytek---I was about to spend a thousand dollars on gear. Now I won't have to. In fact, I think I'll sell my 295 and see if I can't get my old Duke Nukem to run on DOSbox.
now i watched some Homefront trailers, and i'm not sure if i should cancel my Crysis 2 pre-order...
i just need my multiplayer FPS fix.
That'e exactly what I'm getting Homefront for. Should last me until BF3 hits. Crysis 2 multi was a real letdown...now i watched some Homefront trailers, and i'm not sure if i should cancel my Crysis 2 pre-order...

yeah, i'm also just basicly waiting for BF3. i guess it's Homefront then... i'm just so sceptical because their last one, Frontlines, was a mess. then again, the PC version is made by Digital Extremes, so it could be awesome.

Totally agree bro, I admit it... I am a graphics whore. I enjoy playing in game worlds that look amazing and add immersion to the gameplay. Crysis was known for acheiving this... amazing graphics. So when I hear Crytek is making a sequel to Crysis I expect a huge leap forward in technical standards. Then they announce Crysis 2 will be multiplatform. I was devestated by that news. They said that the PC version would be seperate from the console version and optimised as well as taken to the next level. We all should of known that was a lie. As soon as they announced Crysis 2 will be a non exclusive game we should of all known it was over.
Then the screenshots come out, the jungle is gone, the islands are gone, the palm trees are gone, the open landscapes are gone. Crysis 2 was developed around the consoles PERIOD. There is no doubt about it. It is as clear as day. So now one of the huge hits and franchises of the PC is gone. My fear is Half Life 3 will be next... However I think STeam might be holding that title back till the next gen of consoles. So atleast there will be more of a level playing field hardware wise over all platforms. Its just how gaming is going. Everything is multiplatform. I guess we just have to get use to it...

you have yet to even see full settings for Crysis 2 on PC, how can you be sure that they are bad?"i hate how they scrapped the original concept of the MP,"
ofcourse they scraped it, there were like 500 people playing it
and it was awfull
"the mp sucks, developed by a has been console dev (free radical) who havent even made a game for pc ever."
do you realy think free radical was responsible for anything in the MP other than putting it together? :lol
all the design decisions and gameplay mechanic decisions were made at the german crytek, there is no way in hell they have left the UK brach do their thing for some 2 or 3 years without checking in and having no imput in it whatsoever

beacose we all know a high player count is ALL that matters!
"I've been into computer graphics since the PC was invented."
good for you
personaly I am more into PC games
ffs at the quote function -.-

yeah, because they didn't pull it off properly. the idea of it was far better than this CoD-ripoff.
