[QUOTE="chandu83"]The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. The western clas$ics have not been completely exploited yet. We have seen Desperados Wanted Dead or Alive, Gun and Call of Juarez, but compare that to the WWII titles, and you'll realize that this sub genre has a lot of scope.

An open ended gameplay in the west, would be very appealing if it's done right. Just my opinion though.

agreed - also i've said it before they should do a Bourne game but as an FPS, unlike the third person combat game as planned

ever since Call of Juarez I am a firm believer that the PC gaming universe needs a lot more western-themed games.

I've been of that mind since Outlaws.

the western with the most spectacular gun fights was the wild bunch. i'd be stoked if someone recreated that awesome opening battle of the movie in a game.

**Iam Legend : it has unbeleivalable potential for a video game !! amazing concept , and the atmosphere would be amazing

** Cloverfield

what other movies do you think ?

mrbojangles25

I am Legend would be cool. An open-world game based in New York where you kill zombies, conduct research, unearth the truth behind the disease.

Cloverfield, not so much. Although a "Giant Monster Survival" game would be pretty sweet.

You should check out Prototype.

From what I'm reading (which is probably 60% of the posts) I think the problem with the movie to game transition is that a movie can have many, many elements. Multiple main characters, plot lines/devices, and for the most part, well known outcomes. Game developers need to try and encorperate all of these things to satisfy the movie makers, and most of the time fail horribly, because that's just not how it should work in a video game. Players want choice, mixed with a little, but not too much direction, and the ability to influence the outcome of events. After watching a movie and then playing the game, this is tough to accomplish...

That's my take at least.

lol...

I think you can just make Schwarzenegger skins and import mp3 clips of his voice.

Crysis would have been the perfect setting for a Predator movie based game.
