Okay after research in the past i've come up with the conclusion to get the deathadder. Getting it from buy.com since it's 45$ w/ free shipping. Cheaper then anywhere else. And what i'm wondering is would the razer sphex work great with that. Cuz i can't really decide between the sphex and the destructor, although i really don't want to spend $30 for a mouse pad. And if i should buy it, should i wait for the team editions or no?

Sorry for all the questions, once again thanks in advance.

Personally, as long as I have a laser mouse, I will not use a mouse pad.

Don't be too concerned about getting a high grade mouse pad. I am perfectly fine with my $2.99 mouse pad with a hand picked design.

a good mouse pad is never a bad investment if you have a rough surface (my table was made of wood; G5 + wood = **** aiming) but if you have a smooth surface (like a glossed wood or plastic surface) then you might not need one. i use an exactmat that i got on sale for 10 bucks and it's awesome, and actually did improve my game. anything above 20 bucks for a pad is overpriced (unless it's on sale :P)

Any cheap mouse pad will do. High performance mouse pads are a sham unless they have those cushion thingies. People claim that it is superior because they BELIEVE it so. I'm using a standard mouse pad given to me by NASA and it works just as good as those very expensive mouse pads by Razer and other companies. Then again, since it is from NASA, maybe it is performance enhanced :P

*stares at the picture of the space shuttle

Nope, just a standard mouse pad and does the job.

I'm using a Func Inc 1080 Archtype, it makes my G5 glide faster than regular cloth mouse pads, so I don't need a mouse that has insane DPI numbers. Added benefit is it doesn't scratch the bottom of my mouse as much as my old generic mouse pad did.

I braught a death adder around 9-10 months ago superb mouse, sadly it broke and started to double click everything which made draging and droping things into the recycle bin a mission. As for the mouse mat I dont really no what to suggest but Im using a SteelSeries Qck mini seems to do the job. I just got my self a Seitek GM-3200 for dirt cheap (20GBP) and Im satisfied with it wont be spending more on a mouse again, that said the DeathAdder is still my favourite mouse just not worth the extra 15GBP. Also dont get the Seitek I like but according to reviews its no so great :(.

The lachesis is uncomfortable, the new 5000 dpi mouse would be called the mamba. It's too much for me though. It's $120. About 3 times as much as the death adder.

Thanks for the help put a new mouse is not the question. I've already decided on the deathadder. What i'm wondering is, is the Razer Sphex worth it or not.

It is better to have a surface to use your mouse on then just on flat desk. Slight imperfections or if the surface isuneven onthe desk may affect the mouse, but so rarely that it can't really be considered a problem. In my oppinion, I prefer something to put my mouse on rather than just the desk. I have a mouse pad, one of my friends uses a notebook. We both use the exact same mouse (Logitech G7) and it feels almost the same. It really comes down to if you are ok with spending $15 on a mousepad or not, because a $5 will work the same with laser mice.

There is a method you can fix it. All you need to do is open it up and right over the buttons add some really thin lubricant (in fact, a dab of a moist cloth even fixed it). I first got my left double click a year ago so I did that method. Then the right one got a double click so I dabbed the button with a moist tissue and the double click was gone.
