Time for a new mouse.

Okay after research in the past i've come up with the conclusion to get the deathadder. Getting it from buy.com since it's 45$ w/ free shipping. Cheaper then anywhere else. And what i'm wondering is would the razer sphex work great with that. Cuz i can't really decide between the sphex and the destructor, although i really don't want to spend $30 for a mouse pad. And if i should buy it, should i wait for the team editions or no?

Don't be too concerned about getting a high grade mouse pad. I am perfectly fine with my $2.99 mouse pad with a hand picked design.

a good mouse pad is never a bad investment if you have a rough surface (my table was made of wood; G5 + wood = **** aiming) but if you have a smooth surface (like a glossed wood or plastic surface) then you might not need one. i use an exactmat that i got on sale for 10 bucks and it's awesome, and actually did improve my game. anything above 20 bucks for a pad is overpriced (unless it's on sale :P)

Any cheap mouse pad will do. High performance mouse pads are a sham unless they have those cushion thingies. People claim that it is superior because they BELIEVE it so. I'm using a standard mouse pad given to me by NASA and it works just as good as those very expensive mouse pads by Razer and other companies. Then again, since it is from NASA, maybe it is performance enhanced :P

It is better to have a surface to use your mouse on then just on flat desk. Slight imperfections or if the surface isuneven onthe desk may affect the mouse, but so rarely that it can't really be considered a problem. In my oppinion, I prefer something to put my mouse on rather than just the desk. I have a mouse pad, one of my friends uses a notebook. We both use the exact same mouse (Logitech G7) and it feels almost the same. It really comes down to if you are ok with spending $15 on a mousepad or not, because a $5 will work the same with laser mice.
