stracft wasnt bad but it had i certain idk sameness to it. everything in the game felt too idk out of place. like sure the multiplayer was fun but single player wise it felt short. and broodwar fixed that problem but didnt improve on the game much what 7 new units is supposed to revolutionize a game? in short it was good but it was incomplete and broodwar (though it did fix it) could easily have been done with an official game mod or DLC.

Those are probably the 3 pc games that ive not enjoyed the most.

imma take a shot at all the hypedriven games out there because this gen we gonna look back at those who liked it and call em queer.

I see nothing great about the original Half Life either. It's a straight forward corridor shooter with puzzles. The story was non-existent at that stage I believed - alien invasion wooptidoo! The shooting mechanism is generic like Halo's and the graphics were OK for its time. I fail to see anything amazing about it myself, it's only Half Life 2 and its episodes that ever impressed me.

Actually, technically Halo has a generic shooting mechanism like Half Life... after all, Half Life came first. If there is anything similar between the two games, it's because Halo copied HL. The thing people forget is that HL came out in 1998. If it seems generic and common now, that's because it set the standards that every other FPS since has tried to copy and beat. At the time, HL was revolutionary in shooters. Shooters didn't have any kind of story at that point, HL did. Good or not, that's debatable, but just having a story made it better than anything that had come before. And the graphics weren't just Ok for the time, they were about the best I'd ever seen in a shooter.

I'll admit that if it came out now, it'd be a joke. But HL set the standards when it came out. It may more or less be a corridor shooter, but it pretty much established that genre. It's the game that defined the standars for a FPS. If you've liked any FPS that has come out since then, you owe a debt of gratitude to HL for making it possible.

Lets see . . . .

- Resident Evil 4 was crap as anything.

- The Da Vinci Code game ( a joke, but movie was crap too anyway)

- Dark Reign 2 ( Old game that dates back to 99 - 2000 if im not mistaken, horrible RTS )
