Just bought Turtle Beach x31's and there's a lot of popping going on. Support told me to switch my router settings from 'Wireless N' mode to 'Wireless G' mode. That did help, the popping is much less frequent, but is still there. I also moved my router and headset transmitter as far away from eachother as possible (about 16 feet apart).

My question is : Is there any other adjustments i can make to my router that might make a difference.

My router & PC & xbox are all very close together, so maybe I can diminish the router bandwidth or something.

Right now the standard channel setting is at 6-2.437 GHz. That's the middle setting, It can be adjusted to between 1 & 11 GHz.

SSID broadcast is also enabled.

I really don't know what any of that means. Can I adjust any of these settings to get less interference in my headset ?

Thanks for any advice.

If they're all close together why are you using wifi? Just get some bulk cat 5 and turn off the wifi.

It's so my girlfriend can us the PC while I zone out with MW2. I'm thinking i should have gone with a wired headset but it's too late now. The Turtle Beach x31's sound fantastic and when the router's turned off they have no issues at all.

I'll have to experiemnet with the router config, but if anyone can tell me what the 'Standard Channel' settings are allabout (1 to 11 GHz range) that would be great.

Thanks.

You should try changing the wireless broadcast channel to either 1 or 14, that may help put the router and the headset and opposite ends of the spectrum.
