i'm really sick of the DIY character class systems roleplaying games have started adopting recently - at least, they are always implemented badly so we always have overly-powerful hybrid classes who can do a bit of everything a little bit better than they should be able to

one of my favourite things about roleplaying games is the difficult choices to make when creating and developing a character - and i consider character development to be the foundation upon which roleplaying games stand - so if that isn't done right, the rest of the game comes toppling down very quickly

two worlds looks interesting, though since these large-world 3d roleplaying games are pretty much the standard now (oblivion, gothic 3, the witcher, two worlds, dragon age - i'm sure the list goes on) - all these games look interesting... i'm keeping an eye on it, but now that these huge sprawling 3d roleplaying games are starting to become the standard, getting hot for every individual one is starting to lose its appeal

i don't care about originality (within reason)... i don't care if it's even a full blown rip off - if the character development is handled well and the combat is fun, i'll probably buy it

i think it will be amazing if its done right but if some of the smaller things are done badly the whole game could end up on its arse

Well said.  All I ask for is a more hands-on approach to character development.  I dont want my sword skill to automatically level itself, I want to have the choice of putting points into it or not putting points into it.  Maybe I am only using the sword because its the best weapon available at the time, and I want to use something else.

Plus, like you said, its fun being forces into a difficult decision and having your character excel at one thing while lackign abilities in another area.  It adds depth and challenge to a game.  I dont know about you, but Oblivion was insanely easy...I think I died three times the first play through, and two of those times were from falling.
