Plus, this isn't your standard RTS. If you did a little research you would have known that.

I got about half way through the second tutorial before I became bored and very confused with the game, why is there so much stuff to worry about? I thought this was going to be a standard RTS, but it is more like a space sim. A.K.A BORING!

If you thought the game was going to be a standard RTS, then you bought the game based on false assumptions. You should never just buy a game unless you're absolutely positive you know what you're getting.

Anyway, Sins is a pretty complicated game. But it's also magnificent. And, actually, it's not much more complicated than your standard RTS - for example, the game features:

Building buildings - seen in most RTS games

Researching technologies - seen to some degree in most RTS games

Building units - seen in all RTS games

Capturing territory - seen in some RTS games, like Z, Dawn of War, Company of Heroes and Supreme Commander.

The economy and trading system is even reminiscent of Age of Empires II. The only truly unique thing is, I think, the pirates. But I bet some RTS games out there have non-faction enemies who wander around attacking. And that's it, really. It's not that it's particularly more complicated than most other RTS games, it's just got a slower pace and it does things slightly differently.

You should stick with it and learn how it works.

Anyways, I'm ignoring your "It's boring/lame" as I am currently in a game and enjoying it. It does have a high learning curve but once you are past that you will be addicted. Just ask MFSA

Depends on what it is I need to remember. I've always been really good at remembering names, people, and statements that had any sort of impact on my mind, and it gets multiplied like five times over on the internet for some reason.

Unfortunately, none of these things are what I need to be good at remembering when I need to remember what my mother said to me a couple hours ago. >_>

I'm on quite often, when I don't have to work, but no, not all day. I've got too many other things I need and want to do throughout the day to be here the whole time.

Unfortunately some people do not have the common sense to understand and know why it is WRONG to pirate games, or anything else for that matter.

Your joking right? This game is one of the most varied graphic settings games I have seen in a long time.. My desktop runs it flawlessly at max settings.. While my friends laptop with a old 6800 GO video card ran its flawlessly at relatively high settings with not a single drop in FPS.. The game looks fantastic and runs fantastic..

AI is pretty good as well and challenging on alot of levels.. Not to mention the game is easilly modable so sooner or later some person will release numerous AI tweaks..

It's boring

I don't think it's boring. Neither do many other people. People who love games like Galactic Civilizations, Civilization and Total War are going to love Sins. And if you think those games are unpopular... welll... you'd be wrong.

The AI is poor

Firstly, this is absurd. Your own AI is great. You can practically get a self-building and self-defended empire if you want. But obviously there must be a lot of player participation for it to work as a game. And the enemy AI is great. I've spent about 17 hours with the game so far, and while I haven't taken a crack at hard, medium is a pretty solid challenge for a beginner. Especially if you're playing with unlocked teams on a large map with quite a few AIs. It can get pretty damn challenging.

Secondly, it's an online game. While it may have more in common with a TBS than an RTS, it's built built to cater to the RTS community more as far as the online experience is concerned. Would you criticise Supreme Commander for having poor AI? Probably not. You'd just go play it online. But at any rate, my experience with the AI so far tells me that it's good, and you either played on easy, or haven't played it enough or at all and are just dismissing what you don't understand.

The optimisation is poor

Okay, now I'm certain you haven't played it.

I absolutely believe that Sins is a game I will be playing until something comes along to replace it. And given that it's the father on a new genre and nothing exists that can even begin to compare, I din't see that happening any time in the next few years at least.
