Sup guys!?

My friend's ipconfig says "Unable to query host name." when trying to pull up an ip on command prompt.

How can I help him get across this problem?

It all happened because one of my friends other friend had accidentally tripped over the power surge and accidentally pulled it out of the power socket, disconnecting PC - Modem - Printer etc. When he plugged everything back in and attempted to continue roaming the net, it wouldn't allow him, so I take the seat for a moment to check ipconfig/ all, and then we got msg about "Unable to query host name".

I heard of Winsock tool and various other methods that I have saved as possible solutions but nothing has changed. Any idea what might've happened and how to get around it?

I'm guessing that the router was reset and the login info was lost. Find the LAN IP address of your friend's router to access it with a browser, and see if the login info provided by his ISP is still there.
