surprised there's not more excitement for Champions Online seeing as it is outselling Aion on Direct2Drive.
I am going to try the Champions Beta when it is released. But, I don't have any hopes for it.I'm loving the beta, so Aion definately. Champions I'll play eventuallyas long as it is about 100000000x better than CoH/CoV

I just got my Champions beta invite... so I guess I'll see
That made me lol.... Anyway, can't go wrong with AION, isn't it been made by the Guild Wars creators? Champions Online is a risk...The Twilight MMO fer sure dude.

Hmmm....ok, but weird. On that review video, it actually explained how the new TIME BASED subscription was one of the selling points for this MMO. I might investigate a bit...As far as I know its 14.99 a month.
Champions Online is offering a 200 dollar lifetime subscription.

I did a bit of research...there WILL be TIME BASED Cards.
http://blog.swagvault.com/2009/01/12/aion-subscription-fees-announced/
Aion recently announced their subscription structure for their new MMORPG Aion: Tower of Eternity. NCsoft announced that Aion will start commercial service from November 25th, 2008 and there will be four types of prepaid game cards for choosing.
They are as follows:
1-month card: 19,800 won (approximately 13.7 USD*), 300 hours for 30 days
3-month card: 47,520 won (approximately 32.9 USD), 900 hours for 90 days
3-hour card: 3000 won, (approximately 2 USD)
30-hour card: 12,000 won ((approximately 8.3 USD)
Obviously these prices are set in Wons (Korea's currency), but I find the fee structure to be extremely interesting. By the looks of it, the game will be cheaper to play than Blizzard's World of Warcraft and will have a more flexible susbscription model, as gamers will be able to purchase gametime cards by the hour, an almost unheard of concept in the Western MMORPG market. Most pay to play MMORPGs in Asia are paid for by the hour rather than the monthly subscription fee that we're used to here in the United States and Europe. I'd personally love to see games like World of Warcraft and Warhammer Online offer payment plans by the hour alongside traditional monthly access fees, as it would open the door for more casual gamers to play MMORPGs.
Since some MMORPG gamers only play a handful of hours a week, it simply isn't fair that they have to pay the same as someone who plays 40 hours a week. With the current pay to play monthly subscription business model, the more "casual" gamers are turned off by monthly fees, especially if they only have the time to play games a few hours each week. I'd like to see Aion's hourly gamecards here in the United States, but thats probably wishful thinking.
Aion. Already have it preorder and have loved the betas.Blacklight2Hey good...we have someone who has played the Betas. Please tell me about it cause I am thinking of preordering it. Is it like Guild Wars? WoW? Is there a lot of grind? Is the gameplay fun? Story? etc....please.

It combines some of the better aspects of several MMOs. Can't be any more specific than that because of the NDA.

Yeah...fair enough. One thing, I was watching Video Reviews and it looks like you can't swim. Just walk underwater and take damage.... hope that isn't in the final releasePlease Log In to post.
