Can you tell me what kind of laptop you have, model number? RAM is always the easiest thing to upgrade on computers, so don't worry, it's a simple system to get the modules clipped in. That RAM will probably work fine, I just want to make sure it's the fastest your laptop supports so you get the best speed out of it.

Okay, looks like your laptop supports up to 4GB of DDR2 800Mhz. Whether you want to spend more for 4GB is up to you, but I recommend you get DDR2 800.

Here is where I found your laptop's chipset, says it supports 4GB of RAM LINK

Here is where I looked up the Intel GM45 chipset in more detail where it says it supports up to DDR2 800 LINK

Woops, alright. I'm looking up the A-105, and there seem to be lots of different versions. Do you have a more detailed model number? It is usually on the bottom on a label.

Okay, you can have up to 2GB of DDR 533. I would get DDR2 533 it'll be cheaper.
