You can try formatting it and see if it works, but USB sticks usually don't last long. They are very restricted in terms of I/O operations and die easily after a set amount of those operations have been used.

Only other thing I think would work is trying it on a different computer and/or different usb port

its not a i/o problem, windows just doesnt recognise that the usb is actually there, when i polug it in it recognises as a removable disk, not as the real thing (i named it something), and when i try to access it it says "Qplease insert disk into..."

Did you try putting it into a different USB port?

It looks a lot like it's dead. You can try this: right click My Computer -> Manage -> Disk Management. Right-click on the inserted drive and select format. If it'll work...

i dont wanna format it just yet, there is this file in the drive very important, now i tried many many recovery utilities and non of them find the file that i want, i kinda found it but then i relised that it was the old version of the file, but then again im thinking if i format it and it works i might be able to find the file with the recovery program

This is not a problem with your USB stick. This is a problem with Windows. I've been looking all over the net and finding people with different devices coming up with the same problem. I myself have 6 USB drives, a Blackberry with 2gb mini-sd card in it, and upon plugging any of them in, windows initially finds the drive and assigns it a letter but refuses to read it and recognize that there is a disk there. And this is when I plug any of them in, 3 different name brands on the USB drives and the mini-sd is a different brand than the USB drives. I'm still looking for a fix.... time to hit microsoft forums....
