I get good wifi in my house. But my basement is pretty spotty. Since my router is on my 2nd floor. Is there anyway to put my old wireless n router in my basement and use it to boost my signal? My main router is a asus n66u. My old router is a netgear 3400. Thanks

Buy a booster, they help expand and strengthen signal area.

You could install dd-wrt onto it and use it as a wireless extender. Check it out here Might be a bit of a hassle getting it all up and running but you only do it once after all.

You might be able to run a Power Line Adapter down to at least the 1st floor then set-up your router. (maybe even all the way to the basement). Otherwise is there any particular reason your current router needs to be on the 2nd floor?
