Your video card is really weak even though it has 512mb of vram. I'm surprised you can run UT3 as well as you are.

seems about right. if you had $150 lying around you could more than double that (at high settings) by picking up a 9600GT ;)

get the 9800GX2 I believe it runs UT3 at 256 Frames per second (with plenty of ram and a good processor of course)

Edit: actually sorry 256 is Half Life 2, my bad. UT3 is like 120 something.

Well, do as I do and put world detail at 4 i think, and drop the resolution to 800x600, the game ran much smoother on the same GPU, but you should really look forward another video card, I've been thinking the same because it struggles in most games now.

I got this at ibuypower for about $660 with xp.

Q1 If I can get a gpu exchange is the 8600 gt 512mb better or the 1gb better and how much will my framerate increase, the 9800 is too expensive, pluss is in it buggy?

Q2 I really do not know motherboards that well but is my ok and is my cpu aswell ok

1gb of vram on an 8600 would be a waste, so I would say that the 512mb is a better choice, but you should really look into buying a 9600gt by itself on newegg.com. You can get it for under $150 and the performance increase would be VERY noticeable. Your motherboard and cpu are more than fine for now.

Almost nothing, seriously, don't let big numbers impress you, it's just about the model and the chip.

it's certainly a boost in fps. but i can't imagine getting less than a 8800gt, 9600gt or HD3850. The rest of your system screams for it.
