The Saboteur, definitely. From what I've played of it it seems like a pretty good game, especially if you're a fan of Pandemic games. Better than Mercs 2, but it's no Mercenaries or Destroy All Humans.
i hate germans i hate them SO MUCH!! I have both games on my pc. While they are good games they are not something speciial. I recomend go for Velvet Assasin it is better than Saboteur because the protagonist of the game is a womann and it is the only WWII game where you play a woman.
Vevlet assasin is a stealth game and remanins more faithfull to its setting. Saboteur is a mercaries 2 mod/copy with germans and the same mess of a combat. Suprisingly though its much more improved than merc2. I guess its the better game but it does not remain faithfull to its setting.

Maby the same as when i played stronghold crusader, since i'm west-european. I really don't give sh*t what wrongs my forefathers have done.

First of all Stronghold Crusader is one hell of a superb game and few people would care about history when playing it. Secondly, no, the Germans don't mind playing Wolfenstein and Call of Duty imo. Thridly - yes, Stalin wins in every aspect!

There are a lot of games with Nazis we dont need any mores. I was suprised when i fought some Nazis in Metro 2033!! What the hell were they doing there?

It's a federal offence to use the Swastika in Germany except under very specific circumstances. So yes, even CoD and CoD2 were censored. How? Nazis dont say "hi hitler and they look like rabbits? :P Seriously i am eager to know how they censor WWII games?
Lol, thats kinda lame that they censor it. Swastika's come from alot of cultures, its just a symbolic representation of the sun. The Astecs used it, the hindu's use it, the vikings used it, ...

Bought Velvet Assassin on the cheap and I find it excellent. The stealth is very well done and sneak or environment kills never get old. Nice to have the 'go Rambo' option if you want but thankfully the ammo is limited so you are suggested to go stealth when ever possible. Game gives you just enough options on your perfered play style to keep the game fresh and mix it up. Levels are pretty and layed out nice if a bit empty for todays standards. Story is intriguing and makes me want to get to the end to find out what the heck happened.
Very underated game IMO. If you like stealth, this game is for you.
I played both games and personaly i think that The Saboteur is a MUCH better choise. Velvet Assassin has very bad AI, sometimes foes see you whille they shouldn't or are simply all knowing beings, if you try i kill someone from the shadows by taking the pin out guy's grenade and hide, right after the explossion all enemies know exactly where you are... stealth kills get boring after first 2h and the gameplay is way too linear... The Saboteur on the other hand is an open world game right from the start, you can go where ever you like, when you like and approach the missions in few different ways. Besides i liked the main character alot =]. All in all there's more fun to be had in the saboteur, so i recommend you this game over Velvet Assassin. Cheers x]
I didn't hate Velvet Assassin as much as most, but The Saboteur is still a much better game. Whether or not either of them are worth going back to at this point though, I don't know. :P
wow it seems no one likes Velvet Assassin except me , also i am the only one who hated The saboteur cuz it wasn't optimized and rushed port and the game wasn't fun i enjoyed Velvet Assassin so much and IMO much better than The saboteur but shorter
saboteur has some really fun sandbox gameplay, roaming around the countryside blowing up german installations is really fun, the actual storyline missions are just OK.
If you want a cheesy sandbox game The Saboteur is worth a look. It's quite good with its open world model - stealing uniforms and doing missions your own way is quite fun.
