The USB adapters are weak. I have an old gaming adapter from my PS2 that I use for my PC in my bedroom. This is it right here. It works great because since it is connected straight to the ethernet port, my PC considers it as a wired connection. The same thing if I use it for my consoles, they think it's connected straight to the modem.

I planned on using for my xbox 360 though, so I bought a wireless g USB adapter for the PC, and it could not even get a connection for more than a few seconds. So it was either faulty, or out of range.. But my old one works like a charm
