I'm using a 1440 x 900 monitor and a 4870 graphics card. I notice the card has 2 DVI outlets, and right now I am using a DVI to VGA converter so I can use my VGA cable to connect my monitor to my computer. I also have a DVI cable around here somewhere, but I'm too lazy to hunt it down. My monitor does have a DVI outlet, so I know I could use my DVI cable if I really wanted to.

Is there any difference when using a VGA cable (with DVI adapter so it can go into the 4870's outlet) or a DVI cable (with no adapter)? I would guess that there is no difference, but I could be wrong. Anyone know for sure?

the dvi would most likely look better and seeing as ur monitor supports dvi u should look for that cable as it will provide a digital signal with less noise.

i sharper image no noise from conversion of digital single to analog if u have dvi on graphics card and dvi on your monitor then use a dvi cable.
