There have been posts about video cam coming to WoW. Apparently it's code named Dust Storm? Haven't seen it, used it, and don't know anything about it. Obviously not on this forum much so just passing along... Feel free to dismiss this as a total rumor or make it front page news. I am still not sure what I think about it if it's true. I think total fake. They won't put that much of a strain on the servers....
I'd rather put my head in a cheese blender than to see alot of the people in the WOW community. Alot of major idiots and such that did nothing but annoy people or complain because everyone was not as perfect as they were. I was part of a few nice guilds on Eldre'thalas where I played for most of the 4+ years I played but overall the community as a whole could have been much better and if the people in it were not able to police themselves Blizzard could have done better in modding chats and banning people. Heck there were times where I thought I might earn a perma ban or something lengthy and it never happened so obviously Blizzard isn't the company to bring sanity to the mmorpg gaming community and with that said I might have to believe then that they would bring video chat. lololol

They look legit but they could have been done with another program in the background etc. If it IS true, then stupid idea imo....the strain on everyone's connection is gonna make WoW a lag fest....

I am not banned at all from the game on any account. I just choose not to play.
I was referring to that line.... where you NEARLY got a ban, or thought you were getting one...
cool to see screenshots, but would be nice if there was more info on it somewhere? While I might not want to see everyone I play with there are times where I would use this as long as there is there are sufficient privacy controls and doesn't interfere with the game. The website on the screenshots dust-storm.com is just for singing up for the beta but not much else.
That was my first thought too. While I like the guys in my guild they are nice to chat with and all I certainly don't see a need to see them playing in their skivvies, or in some cases even less I am sure...

Probably fake. It would be useless, people use vent, or skype to talk during arena, or raids. If it was video chat, it would be just minimized while they do whatever. Pointless.

I think total fake. They won't put that much of a strain on the servers.... Even returning the server strain to "Old World" capital cities doesn't give the stability they wanted to their servers. xD They couldn't keep Northrend up in Wrath of the Lich King, and now they're having issues again with areas like Orgrimmar. Integrating a video chat system would blow the servers to bits.
