I had a topic before in the 360 forums about how to get my computer to share the internet connection with my 360 using an ethernet cable. I got it working on my brother's laptop, which runs XP. How do I get it to work on my desktop, that runs Vista? There's nothing on support or anything that mentions how to get it working with Vista. I've enabled internet sharing on the computer, but I only can get limited connectivity.

does it give any errors or anything of the sort on Vista? i don't use it myself atm and use a router to connect my 360, so i don't have any idea what's going on specifically.. this is a total shot in the dark, but maybe there's a firewall enabled on vista by default that's restricting the 360's access?

I set up media center and it didn't help(but thanks for the link, I was trying to do that) and Windows Firewall is off. I do have McAfee with a firewall, but I can't configure it. I'm not even sure if it's on, either.

You don't need to enable internet sharing, in fact, you need it disabled for this to work. Go to network and sharing center, then on the left menu, manage network connections. Highlight local area connection and your main connection, right click on the main connection, and click bridge connections. I was just playing on Live, and I can even play on it when the computer's in sleep mode.
