My point was that everyone complains. i don't see how you can say Vista is a minor upgrade from XP that came out in 2001. There are so many things that Vista does better and there are some features not included in XP.

I have to agree with Deihmos. If you are basing your decision on what you read in forums than you're going to be in trouble. There are so many conflicting opinions and most people use forums to vent their frustrations not to say what a great experience they've had with a product. So of course you're going to get a majority of negative feedback.

Yep, totally agree with you.

Since most of the ones used the "why bother to learn Vista when I already know XP?" question, it really show how much they know about XP, not to mention Vista and sice the UI is almost the same it is even more doubtful that they actually know what they are talking about.

I'm pretty sure that the average users know less than 10% of Windows XP/Vista and it's mostly those that complain about Vista.

And my point was that if majority agree that Vista is worthwhile, then i will probably try it out. Because the people complaining about XP are a more or less a minority. But i wasn't talking about which is better than which.

How do you decide what is the majority and minority? Is it from reading gamespot? Most tech savvy computer users are using Vista. If you need info check out the Neowin forums or some other board other than Gamespot. This is probably the worse place to ask anything about any Operating System.

Did i ever say i'm using gamespot as a reference? Anyway, thanks for the link. I'm just not ready to jump into the Vista bandwagon yet seeing as how things are going.

Don't get me wrong. I never said anyone needs to upgrade to anyhting. I do find Vista to be a lot better than XP though. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with an older PC.

Me neither. I just hope they don't release Windows 7 too early, before we get to see what Vista can really do.

No, no, no...

1. XP consumes alot less resources than vista

2. XP has better video drivers

3. XP is alot more stable

4. So far DX10 has shown nothing more than bad performance and features which are doable on DX9.

5. Vista costs like ****.

6. XP gives you much higher fps

I cannot see why would anyone use VIsta for gaming.

Pessu

I agree, I almost laughed when I read the title
