What are you thoughts on this TV? I plan on using it for my PS3, 360 and of course general watching. I was going to get a more expensive set, such as a Samsung, but I would like to keep the rest of the cash for something else.

Looks to be a good set, and at that price should be well worth it. :)

I personally like the brand and especially that particular set as it is the one I am looking into purchasing. Videophile nuts will tell you that other brands have supperior picture quality and, while this may be true, the picture quality of the Vizio is still pretty damn good. They even looked good at CostCo the last time I went, which is a schocker because most store displays are hooked up to a shotty source via coxial or the signal is being split so much you get massive pixalation. So overall I would recommend this TV, great budget buy.

There is a 37'' in the living room. My PS3 looks pretty good on it, and I think it will be good enough for what I'm looking to do. :)

Sometime in the future I can still go out and get me a huge TV.

You should look up reviews on this one at Circuit City too before making up your mind:

Notice the coupon code on the page too, that would make it a nice $499

Also, here's a different Olevia that I didn't think you can find still, but an awesome price for $599 at Target:

Now, look at how consumer reports rated it at the bottom of this image, the 532h:

Also, BeachCamera, a highly rated site, use to have it, but has some newer 232t replacing it with free HDMI, no tax and no shipping for $569, authorized seller:

I have looked at this TV, and at one point thought it would be a good choice. I like Olevia, but I think the quality is a step lower, and the overall product looks cheaply made.

Thanks for the suggestion, and links. :)

It doesn't have that silver and flair like the Vizio I guess. But a lot of times when it comes down to it, non-glossy black is what everyone wants so all you see in the show, not the tv. So usually people try to avoid silver on their tvs. When I was looking for a rear projection, people were so happy when Sony released a slightly updated A2020 SXRD that was all black instead of the A2000 that had silver on the bottom. And I never understand why a company puts glossy black trim around the screen that can only cause a distraction from reflections. Though, the Vizio does have an extra HDMI.

I only bought the Olevia since I just needed something in my bedroom and didn't need it to be perfect. But it was going to be my main gaming machine, I might buy both the Vizio and the Olevia and test them out at home and return the one I don't like. I don't think Circuit City has a restocking fee with tvs.

Oh, here's the official thread for the that Vizio model at the AVSForum, 49pages (1,400 posts) for you to read tonight :)

I've never really thought about that glossy black area being a big part in my decision, but now that I think about it I do like the look of the Vizio far more than that of the Olevia. I'm not one for buying stuff because it's pretty, but I think in this situation the Vizio wins because it looks sexier :P

I'll check out that thread tonight. Thanks :)
