Yes, it's that good.

"VVVVVV is a platformer with a very simple concept that becomes more complicated through Cavanagh's smart level design. The player moves through each level by swapping the main character's gravity from upwards to downwards. The metroid-like map is divided up into single screens that are appropriately or humorously named. There are plenty of secrets to be found, often through exploration and quick reflexes. The chiptune soundtrack by Soul Eye compliments the 8-bit visual sty1e"

I wouldn't know because I don't use Steam. But the buying system is completely safe and reliable.

It's a really good game and I had fun with the demo, but there is no way on earth I am going to pay 15$ for that... I paid 15$ for Death to spies: moment of truth yesterday and that a 3d games

I don't know, this game looks kind of...well, dumb. I don't understand how it could possibly be any good.

It has a nostalgic factor into it. It reminds you how life was simple back when you were playing on your old 8bit nintendo :)

There's the problem I suppose, I was never allowed to play video games as a kid and my first system was an N64 that I bought for myself. I love old-school games as much as the next non-consolite, but I still can't see where the attraction of this game comes from.

Neither do I, this is a very good game, regardless if you want to feel nostalgic, etc.

I liked the demo, I especially liked the music, but I doubt this is the best we will see this year.

I kinda liked it, but it just reminded me of a mix of both Metal Storm and Metroid, but without any action at all. And I didn't personally think that the gravity mechanic lifted from Metal Storm was strong enough to keep me interested for the entire game. Still good, but I won't be buying it.

That's not really the problem, it's just so much simpler when every game you own is easily available under one menu. For example, I still wish to play Mount&Blade but I'd first have to find my CD key for it, go on their site, download and then install it. With Steam it's as simple as selecting the game from your games list which is just one mouse click away. And that's just one game, it's a whole other thing when we are talking about dozens of games scattered all over the internet on various sites.

The demo is good but $15 is pretty expensive.

I enjoyed the demo and liked his other games: Judith, Don't Look Back and Pathways but I don't think I want to spend $15 on this one. It feels like it would be kind of short. If you like that retro type of game you might also like Star Guard.

A major ripoff and all three Shift games are free to play all the way through.

Not really. It's much more of a rip-off of the NES game Metal Storm than Shift.
