I have CoH now, I was wondering if I should get Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, Sins of a Solar Empire, or just the cheaper expansion to CoH, OF. Sins looks like a nice change of pace, but might have too long battles for my taste. any suggestions?

World in Conflict just got that mod to make it seem EXACTLY like CoH. Try it out.

Leon, if you don't have the orginal dawn of war, get it!!!!!!!!!

Get Soulstorm actually, you get 9 races. Or you can get DOW anthology, which comes with DOW(the original), WA(1st expansion pack of DOW) and DC(2nd expansion pack).

Get the expansion for CoH. New factions are really interesting to play with and against.

Sins of a SOlar EMpire.

Problably the greatest strategy game of the 21st century.

Simply epic. Its not an RTS...its not a TBS. Its something entirely new!

Sins is really epic, amazing game, but I would have to recommend Dawn of War Platinum Edition, and then pick up Soulstorm when you done. If you're into CoH, DoW is Relic's other baby that just can't be overlooked!

Nobody called it a TBS...the exact wording was that it's NOT an RTS nor is it a TBS. It actually tries to combine the two and creates something that's more like a more expansive Conquest: Frontier Wars. If there's no demo for Sins yet (which it doesn't look like there is), there might be one for Conquest if you want to get a feel for Sins.

EDIT - and yes, the battles in Sins are INCREDIBLY lengthy. The smallest map size can take several hours to complete. However, if you want faster paced battles, Dawn of War definitely fits the bill.

DoW is just a step back from CoH in a better setting. As for OF, it depends as too how much you care about playing as the new factions, I don't much like playing as the British and the PE were considered overpowered when I left the game.

Sin's is an epic space game. bojangles said it is not quite RTS and not quite TBS(4x specifically). It is a very innovative game that it kind of combines the 2 genres together producing great results. I highly reccomend it, everything in it is fantastic, just be willing to try something new tho.

you didnt read my post did you.

its something new. The developers call it 4x Strategy.

Essentially, it is the scale of a turn-based game with the mechanics of a real-time game. For example, there are hundreds of planets each with varying structures and orbiting support upgrades and whatnot, but the battles are real time. And the scale of the battles match those on Supreme Commander; you can have hundreds of ships in each flotilla attacking each other.
