Hi.

I bought a new laptop and installed windows 7 x64bit os. But the problem was that i coudn't download all drivers, because i dont have any interne connection.

Then I realised thet I have cd with vista drivers on x86 systems (as I saw those drivers is good for win 7 x86 also). So I reinstalled windows 7 x86. In that way I was able to install all drivers.

Was my choise to reinstall was terrible?

How can I delete windows.old? because at that time I haven't installed any usefull aplications?

Thanks

How much RAM does your computer have in it? If it has 4GB's or more then I would download Win 7 64bit drivers now you have the internet, put them onto a memory stick and the format and re-install 64bit Windows 7.

Well then 64bit isn't going to benefit you much.

If you cant delete windows.old then install 'Unlocker' and that will do it. Honestly if you only have 3GB's of RAM then you will see no difference going back to 64Bit.

Stick with your 32 bit copy. Differences will be negligible.

that depends, programs like photoshop 3ds max etc do run faster in 64 bit mode.

Also RAM is one of the few things upgradable in laptops. Upgrading to 4gb+ may be something he would like to do in the future...
