yes I have had that TV since I purchased it for 1000. Its unbelievable if you want to use it as a pc monitor, for standard TV the picture is ok, sound is decent, remote is slow responding but hook this up to a gaming PC and you will be in heaven. I have hooked up my sony 40 inch bravia to a PC and the westinghouse looks better. Also the HDMI will have problems with PS3, maybe they fixed it, but the hdmi works as I have it hooked up to my fios...
Nope that's a cheap quality tv if you want it for games. The video processing of those tvs, RCA, Philips and Memorex are very cheap. That's why you can get a very big one for the price of a 26 to 32 inches Sony, Samsung or Lg. That's one of the reasons people buy a tv and when they put an SD movie or console begin to tell eveyone SD looks horrible on HDTVs without knowing their tv is cheap. Emerson better.... but I'd buy it either one for the price of 40" and inexpensive.... DogswithgunsThe only problem is that with those brands you are getting size over quality image. That's a problem with these newer LCD HDTVs.
I have that TV. I paid $1000 for it 3.5 years ago, and am currently in the market for a new TV. I am going to upgrade and sell mine to my parents for $200. It's a decent TV, but the picture quality is so-so, the inputs are lacking, and the screen gets image retention fairly easily. It's temporary, but annoying. You could probably do better for $370.Is this a decent tv for $370? Someone around where i live is selling this tv for that price.

I agree that the PC looks good on it (it's technically a monitor) but the PS3 HDMI issues are a thing of the past... it was only an issue in the early days of the PS3 until they released a firmware update to fix the HDCP handshake issue (which caused the screen to blink on and off whenever the PS3 switched resolutions, which is does frequently.) But yes, it would be a good monitor... except for the image retention, which is becoming worse over time.yes I have had that TV since I purchased it for 1000. I'm not a Westinghouse fan what so ever. If your not willing to pay the Samsung/Sony price range look into an LG... YoungSinatra25Agreed. As far as brand preference, you hit it dead on with Sony, or Samsung. I had a bad experience with a 26in LG cpu monitor, which crapped out on me only after 1 year, so I don't really mess with them that much. I've always been a Sony consumer, but I've recently purchased a Toshiba 55in 120hz LCD, which was only 1000, and it's picture is stunning. I'm just crossing my fingers in terms of reliability. My Sony Bravia 46in is still going strong in the bedroom after 3 years.

save up an extra $200 and get something better. westinghouse is crap. I wouldn't say it's crap... it's just not the best. Well for tv it's ok but for gaming they are crap.Nope that's a cheap quality tv if you want it for games. The video processing of those tvs, RCA, Philips and Memorex are very cheap.
