Right now im a level 21 orc hunter. I feel like my guy is pretty cool, he has a velociraptor named steve and is actually pretty good. Everyone that sees my guy says that he is really crappy. What can I do to make him better? As far as I know all he can wear is leather and cloth armor. I dont seem to be able to use anything other than small axes either. Right now hes decked out with dual wielding axes and all the best leather armor I could find. What could I do to better him?

It would help if you linked to your character's armory so we can actually help you out with ideas for gear and talent specs. Also, keep in mind, Hunters get a lot of crap by people for being "noobs" and easy mode, because they are fairly easy to level and there are a lot of them running around.

Thats what I've been doing so far. I have like the best bow i could find, (laminated recurve bow or something) and my raptor is level 21 too, and my talents ive gotten all are focused on making him stronger. I even have like 3 spell things that make my bow shots do tons more damage.

Also, at 21 if you are Horde, start doing some Wailing Caverns runs, or if you are Alliance, do Dead Mines. You'll get some nice gear from there.

Yeah, you might have to do a few runs to get something to drop, but I know Wailing Caverns has some nice leather and a bow (blue items). Also, looking at your talents, I'd do it this way: 5 Points into Endurance Training 3 Points into Thick Hide 2 Points into Improved Revive Pet And then at 21 I'd either do 1 point in Aspect Mastery and 1 in Unleashed Fury, or just 2 points in Unleashed Fury. Don't worry about Improved Aspect of the Hawk for now.

Yeah just ask for a WC group in the Barrens, or in Trade chat in a city. Shouldn't be too hard to find a group.

Woah, try to get *anything* green dude, lol. Some stats. For hunter at that level, it's gotta go Agility>Stamina>Intellect>everything else. Don't really pay attention to armor atall. I forgot if many pieces at that level have strict AP (attack power) or not but those are good to. I was a crit freak on my hunter, when I quit he had about 45% base crit... mmm, topped sooo many dmg charts. Many people argue AP over crit but...for me personally I just loved teh krits.

Have you even been doing quests? Most of your gear should have been replaced with quest rewards by now. I know alot of people are mentioning Wailing Caverns, but even a Ragefire Caverns run would improve your gear considerably. That was the first instance yous should have been running back around level 14 or 15.
