I did a search, and nobody's done this topic recently... I was just wondering what's out there that's free and fun. I have been playing Runes of Magic, and I think it's pretty good, but what else is out there?

Perfect World is pretty good. It's based off Chinese mythology and has amazing graphics for a free game, plus a huge world to explore.
Massively just recently did a article about their top 5 free to play MMOs. Can't link it because the html won't allow the word Class.
The order was:
5. Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine
4. Dungeon Runners
3. Mabinogi
2. Runes of Magic
1. Free Realms.
I would say Runescape. Though it is only bearable with the $5 a month. Then it can be actually quite a time waster.

Runescape can be fun, but be forewarned that it WILL suck you in for several months and you may regret it later on.

shin megami tensei: imagine is a painfully slow and agonizing game reminiscent of what would happen if you found a way to make ff11 SLOWER than it already is XD
I like SMT online you level faster than Maplestory >_>Vexx88
yes but it takes BLOODY AGES to get anywhere furthermore the VR dungeons are very detracting from the whole concept of a "dungeon".
There really aren't any good F2P mmos. Best bet would be free realms. And guild wars is not an mmo. It is more of an RPG, where you have instanced areas(not open world) and it is really not massively multiplayer. Just plain multiplayer. Not saying it's bad though, 50+ hours of gameplay for 20 bucks is always a good deal.

^^ Truth
Mabinogi is easily the best out of the f2p games I've played. There's lots of stuff to do, the world is interesting, the graphics/sound/music is all good, and the combat is really interesting and doesn't follow the cookie cutter formula of most MMO's. All the other F2P games get boring really fast.
I just got into Kingdom of Loathing. It is pretty fun so far and the writing is hilarious. It doesn't take a lot of your time, too.Ninja_Dog
Yeah, Kingdom of Loathing is freakin hilarious. It's barely an MMO since it's browser based, but you can interact with people and there is pvp (though I havent tried that part). Either way, everyone should play this game at least for alittle bit. I'm a pastamancer :D
50+ hours of gameplay?!?! wtf are you talking about, i know guys (includeing "starcraft") who have played for 3+ years, hundreds if not thousands of hours of gameplay. Guild Wars is great, but its still not FREE, yes it f2p but you still have to buy it, as opposed to RoM which is 100% free. There really aren't any good F2P mmos. Best bet would be free realms.
