Hey I'm looking in to getting a cheap DX10 card now sense my current card sucks. I have like no money and I don't want to spend over $300 CAN. So I have been following Gamespot Video Card roundUp and I have determined the 2 DX10 cards I am looking in to is the Geforce 8600GTS and the Radeon HD 2600 XT. Now I want to Know what card is better for future games and such. And don't talk about SLI because I only have one PCI-Express Slot.

Thanks in advance

You should not buy inferior graphics cards that only purpose is to show HD-DVD and Blueray movies because these cards has built in decoder but the game performance is not that great. The best option is to get a NVIDIA 8800GTS 320MB or 640MB memory or a ATI 2900xt 512MB model:).

my opinion is neither, both suck but the 8600 is better. the GTS is a waste of money, marginal performance boost for a huge increase in price. This wont laste you 2 years, it is medium dx9 performer and will be destroyed in dx10, it wont play dx10 well at all. your safe bet is the 8800 GTS 320mb, and if your straped for cash just do what i did and work a telemarketing job for like a week, you'll get 100-200 depeding how long you work and you should have enough for a 8800. dont get a 8600 man because it wont perform as well as you want and you would have wasted money, just save up and wait.
