what company has the best screen ?

Sony?

HP?

Dell?

Acer?

What about Sony's Xbright?

HP's new infidty bright view?

Dell's

or acer crystial bright?

well I am looking for a media laptop. This is for light gamming, runing media programs(edit video, music, blu-ray,etc) about $1500

also a notebook that got good battery life?

any thoughts?

what do you think?

from what i've seen dell, hp, toshia acer etc are all the same glossy junk that you can hardly see when there is a bright light above.

apple have some great non glossy screens which makes view in bright light much easier. go to the shop and compare them in store. try and get one that isn't glossy. There are only a couple of lcd makers so most likely they will all have the same screens

for gaming a 8600gt is a great gpu for small laptops. battery life basicly depends on what's in it. dedicated gpus will burn up more battery life than integrated, intel cpu use less than amd. if you want long battery life look into getting a 9 cell battery over the 4 or 6 cell

your not going to get a notebook with good battery life if you play to game on it. Just not gonna happen :P

so true even with a 9 cell battery and 8600gt you will be lucky to get even 2 hours with max brightness
