A gtx 780 or higher, or the AMD equivalent R9 290 or higher. Up to you which company and cards you like the most personally I'd want a 780ti but some people would rather have a r9 290x.

It depends on what frames you want at what settings. Dual gpu though to be comfortable.

the 780ti costs $800, I would rather spend $1000 on the GTx 790

I posted some rumours about the 790 a while ago. Here is the source for the rumours

I just have 2 6950s unlocked and overclocked. So far the only game that gives me any problems are games that don't like crossfire. I would definitely go with a single card though, its smoother looking/feeling, but it only cost me 200 for both so it was worth it.

I'm using a gtx 770 4gb for 1440p but I wish I would have just got a 780. Maybe next year or the year after I'll get something crazy.

Regardless of your hardware setup - texture samples are a LONG way from looking passable at that high of a resolution.
I have the "privilege" of experiencing this firsthand.

Stick with 2.5k for now IMO.

there is some new 4k monitors coming soon that wont be insanely expensive. I would rather go that route... if you have the cash.

You're talking about a self-proclaimed Alienware fan who bought a 7990 instead of a 2 7970s.

Because you bought an overpriced Dell, and you came to a forum full of casual gamers and children to ask advice about 1600p resolution, regardless that you play shit console games like max Payne and Call of Duty. You're a tool, deal with it.

U wot?
