bioshock: like every ever ss2 fan on the planet i'm concerned that the game will be overly dumbed down - but the funny thing is i don't really have any reason for my belief (besides ion storm screwing deus ex, but this is an entirely different story), all the gameplay footage looks solid and from videos at least, there seems to be some really brilliant ideas that are, honestly, hardly unique - but that are being used and combined in the best ways possible... i did see one video, though, where it seemed like the automated flying gun security things were disabled using a lever, i really hope that was a placeholder or i just saw it wrong or something, because the hacking mechanic (even if it's implemented in a completely different way, which would be natural given the difference in setting and technology) is important to me - i don't necessarily consider dumbing down a bad thing, so long as it serves a useful purpose in the game... complicated doesn't always mean better
hellgate: my #1 concern is that the game will be too americanised - i don't mean to sound anti-american (i generally like america) but the one thing that really pisses me off in games is american voices - american voices can be awesome at times, but there are some places they just do. not. fit. - like fantasy - case in point, gothic 3 - eugh, killed all possible sense of atmosphere... i know that flagship is american and is selling to a primarily american audience, but i'm just really hoping that, since it's set in england and since it has a focus on the demonic and gothic (which just doesn't fit america), that it isn't sold with a particularly american style, and while there will probably be some american actors in there, it just wouldn't work right for me if it was the focus - unless they were particularly appropriate american voices - i guess to simplify, i'd be happy hearing edward james olmos in a fantasy title (with his cool manly growly voice), i'd probably turn the volume down if i heard george clooney
those are the only games i'm really looking forward to and have concerns about, i guess

Hahaha oh man, I kinda agree with you there. That, and Europeans mimicking American voices (a la Earth 2160, so so so terrible...). Plus, the game takes place in London. If you want to have a gun-slinging billy badass American character (the "token American", if you will) thats fine but please make the majority of them British.
Sort of unrelated, but that kinda pissed me off about 28 Weeks Later. In the first movie, 28 Days Later, I loved how all the actors were British and had those accents just made it gritty to me. I dont want to sound like a jerk or anything, but seeing a stereotypical British person going totally apesh** to rescue those two girls was awesome!
Now theyre turning the franchise into a Hollywood blockbuster with explosions, the military, and American actors.
